How to cast on and U wrap knitting

Hello, friends How are you doing welcome to Follow steps I’m your host, Siri. Today I will show you how to cast on and u wrap knitting step by step with video

The cast-on and U wrap knitting method is the easiest cast-on method for beginners on any loom and U wrap knitting we can use the U wrap stitch. It creates a loopy edge. we can use it for the projects like hats, scarfs, and tablecloths for flat edge.

So, friends let’s get started.

Required Things

Things needed any loom, loom Hook, the yarn I’m using 36 pegs round loom and Red Heart Yarn in the below video.

we’ll show you the cast on and u wrap knitting

Slipknot:

This is generally what we do. first, we’re going to make a slipknot.

Take a Working yarn (with which we are going to work) wrap around your fingers back over the front back over again and pull the working strand through the loop. here’s we will get our Slipknot put it on anchor peg (anchor peg: it is the peg which is located side of the loom) we can work from the left to right or right to left as per our wish which even is comfortable to us. make sure to look at your pattern we’re going to work clockwise (I prefer to work clockwise)

E-Wrap cast on

Now let’s begin with our E wrap cast on we’re going to take our working strand put it behind peg to wrap around between one and two come around to the front and go back again it creates a small E at the back

again, wrap around the next peg go in the back it creates another small e, go around the pegs how many that you need.

You may work a scarf, or a hat continue wrapping the pegs

now we’re going to come back and wrap these pegs again to start out knitting at every turn back first peg we are going to half wrap the peg and then continue by e wrap again (This is not applicable for round projects like Hat it is only for scarf or dish clothes)

come around the front and back again it creates a small E at the back of every peg

knit these over so we’re going to pull the bottom yarn over the top yarn. continue knitting all the pegs to complete your cast on.

U Wrap Knitting:

push down the yarn to make a space for the second strand. Now we start U wrap Knitting. Take the working strand and place it over the pegs and now using the hook knit (pull) bottom yarn over the top yarn we do it again knit (pull) bottom yarn over the top yarn. U wrap stitch means Half wrapping the pegs and knitting. knit all the pegs by u wrapping each

We will work once again push down the yarn to make a space for the second strand or working strand we do u wrap knitting again. Take the working strand and place it over the peg using the hook knit (pull) bottom yarn over the top yarn. Repeat U wrap Knitting
